My Diary Cast

JO DEE MESSINA- Jo Dee Messina is a country singer, and my favorite one at that. In my diary, you hear me make references to her all the time. I frequent road trips to see her, seeing her in concert about 5 times on average a year. I have a lot of friends who are Jo Dee fans, and they're the greatest! Many of them are a part of my diary cast, as is Jo Dee.

Other references that are Jo Dee related are the "yucky pants", which Jo Dee wore quite frequently at one time. And just so you know, Don Muzquiz is Jo Dee's fiance. I believe he is possibly mentioned in one entry or so. If you don't know any of Jo Dee's songs, her albums are: "Jo Dee Messina", "I'm Alright", "Burn", "A Joyful Noise", and "Greatest Hits". Now you know!

TRACI- She's probably one of the best things to ever happen to me, frienship-wise. We met about 10 years ago when our mom's introduced us. They were friends and worked together, and Traci and I have been friends ever since the first time we met. She lives about a half hour away from me, and we see each other quite a bit. We frequent summer trips together, spending the night at eachother's houses, and every birthday that comes along. We've been through so much, and Traci is a big part of my life. Never have I had a friend that I can count on so strongly for anything at any time.

Traci has an older sister named Heather, and a younger brother named Adam. Her mom's name is Anita. So, if you hear me talking about most of those people, they're basically covered. LOL. Nicknames for Traci also include: T-Pohl and Butt Monkey. Please, do not ask where those names come from...and don't get too imaginative!

MIKE MARSHALL- No, Mike Marshall is not a pro baseball player, bluegrass musican, or artist. Mike Marshall is a DJ on 100.7 WITL FM of Lansing, Michigan- which just so happens to be my local country radio station. He's a married twenty-something, very cool, and very nice.

Mike is an awesome DJ. He always plays my requests, and he's really supportive of Jo Dee. He visits me site sometimes, and occasionally reads my diary. Give props to the Marshall Man! There is a whole page about Mike on my Jo Dee Messina website, so I think this just about covers everything. You can catch him from 7PM-Midnight on weeknights and on Saturday afternoons on WITL.

KRISTEN- My biggest diary fan at one point, I think! Kristen is known as buttnuggit or kristenslife on diaryland, or was at one time. She doesn't really write anymore. Anyways, I've known her since my sophomore year of high school, and she's really cool. She's a great friend, and we are both friends with Jenny.

Kristen lives a little ways away from me, but close enough, as we went to the same high school and all. She has 2 sisters, and oodles of animals. She's got herself a nifty little car, a job, a typical life.

MY MOMMY- My mom is my biggest fan, but not of my diary. Actually, she's never read this diary; she doesn't really know how to use the computer. I'd actually prefer that she didn't, but if she does someday, oh well. Just, nobody tell her it's here, OK? LOL. It will be a mommy-free secret.

Sometimes, my mom gets on my nerves...and she can be a little weird and crazy. But I love my mom, I really do. She's done as much for me as she can, and she continues to support me in the way only a mother can.

My mom is obviously married to my daddy, and also shares her mommy duty with my brother. She's been refered to as Wolf Blitzer at times in my diary...or simply, mom.

KATY- What makes Katy different is not just that she spells her name differently than all of the other Katie's in the world- but that she makes herself Katy. She knows who she is. Perhaps that is why our friendship is so strong, because she says I know her as well as she does.

I've been best friends with Katy since 1988. That's a really long time to have a best friend. I don't see us NOT being best friends anytime soon. She's a fabulous artist, and she's going to go far no matter what she does. I care for her more than anyone else I know, and I think she does the same for me. She is my rock, she is my support- she is the only person I know who can make me feel like I am worth more than I really am.

Katy and I can get through anything, and she's a really awesome person. She's talked about a lot in my diary, so get to figuring out who she is. I honestly don't know what I would do without her.

MIKEY- The illusive boy behind so many entries, the one I express my love for. I don't really know how to describe him, except he's totally unique in no way describable. He's just Mikey, the one I've known since birth. He is as much of a part of me as anything. I will never forget about all the things we've experienced, all the things we've been through. You know, they say you never forget your first love.

If only my first love was my last love. Mikey doesn't read my diary, and thank the Lord for that. Well, it wouldn't be so tragic if he did, but I never really could tell him how I feel. Perhaps, someday, things will work out the way I always dreamed. The title of my diary? Dedicated to Mikey. "Every falling star I see, I make a wish for you and me." If only he knew, if only he knew. But, maybe having a secret love is meant to be kept a secret.

Mikey is an amazing singer. His brother's name is Sean, and his parents are Joanie and Mike. He's so real, so Middle America...so American Idol. And that's just Mikey. No matter what he does and where he goes life, he'll always be Mikey.

AMBER- My closest Jo Dee fan friend at one point it time. We met in 2001, and we've been friends since. Things aren't quite the same, and they're ever changing. But, that's Amber...ever changing. She's a part of my 'Thankies & Shoutouts" page on my Jo Dee site, and is included in some famous stories of me meeting Jo Dee.

JENNY- Jenny is my partner in crime! LOL! We always have so much fun when we're together, and she's a really great person to hang out with. She is Kristen's best friend. I met Jenny the first time when I was in band, and we've been friends since sophomore or junior year or so.

Jenny is known as domrocks19 on Diaryland, but is also one of those people who doesn't really write anymore. But, Jenny rocks! I am glad every day that I have her for a friend, and an awesome friend at that.

MALLORY- I met Mallory in Mrs. Vida's french class last year, and we both found out that we love Kenny Chesney! We both had Mrs. Vida again this year for psychology and rocked out to Kenny for yet another year!

ASHLEY- I became friends with Ashley at the begining of my senior year. We actually found out that we have a lot of the same friends, and even though we have pretty different lives...we have a lot in common! She is one of my friends who I have become extremely close with, and we do a lot of cool stuff together.

Ashley's brother Eric is also friends with my brother Kurt. So, that's sort of weird. I love hanging out with Ashley, and with Samantha (her best friend), too. I will never forget our friendship!

DAD- My thoughts and opinions change about my dad everyday. Sometimes, he can be a pretty good guy. But sometimes, he's not my favorite person in the world. I guess that's a typical daddy/daughter relationship for girls like me. But anyways...my daddy is of course married to my mommy, and he's the son of my grandparents. He has two brothers, my uncles Mike and Greg, and one sister, my aunt Phyllis.

My dad's hobbies include scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing in the Florida Keys. Up here in Michigan he enjoys fishing, hunting, mowing the lawn, endlessly building things like ponds and barns, and NASCAR.

SHANIA TWAIN- Shania has had a big impact on my life; her music got me through a lot of times when I needed something just to make me happy. I've been a fan of her's since I was 8 years old. I love seeing her in concert, and being a Shania fan is a great thing. I've met lots of cool people, and I love to listen to her music.

I can't help talking about Shania a lot in my diary- she's just so awesome! I am in her fan club and spend a lot of time chatting with my fellow Shania fans. My dream of course is to meet her in a formal meet & greet setting someday instead of the few brief little moments I've shared with her at concerts and such. If you don't know who Shania is...you've obviously been living in a plastic bubble for almost 10 years and deserve to be shot. Even sheep hearders in Ireland know who she is.

KENNY CHESNEY- Mmmm, isn't he just yummy? Yes, I do have a thing for Kenny Chesney. I think he is THE HOTTEST man in country music! I don't care if he has very little hair under his cowboy hat, and that he's in his mid-thirties...oh, I could definately deal with riding his tractor, cuz it's sexy!

I am a huge fan of Kenny. I love his music and everything about him. I've had the chance to see him in concert 5 or 6 times now, it's always really great. He's such an awesome guy! He is mentioned quite a bit in my diary. I figured that random people have been known to read my diary, and unless you like country music, you probably don't know who Kenny Chesney is. But you SHOULD!

MATT(S)- There are two Matts' who have been mentioned in my diary. They are completely different people, but I am including them both here.

Matt #1 is usually spoken of in association to Jennifer. Matt is my cousin, and Jennifer is his wife, my cousin by marriage. Matt is a cop, and he recently became a daddy to little Abbey Jayne Dziachan.

Matt #2 is rarely spoken of, but I don't hate him. When he is spoken of, it is as a highly strange, bizare wierdo stalker-type ex. We may be friends again...but we're taking it slow, and I don't know what's going on quite yet.

JENNIFER- Matt is really lucky to have a wife like Jennifer, and I'm glad he brought her into her family. Although through the course of my diary she's been mostly described as highly-hormonal and pregnant, she's really cool. Her and Matt make a perfect couple, and she's really nice to me. She's great fun to hang around!

TIFFANY- Tiffy is amazing...she's the truest, sweetest Jo Dee fan I know. She cares for everyone, not just herself- and shows great compassion for others. She treats everyone as they deserve to be, and she bends over backwards for her friends. I've known Tiffany for quite some time now, and I'm really thankful for her friendship.

Tiffy writes as goldenbongos on Diaryland- her entries are great, and her poetry is amazing. I love how she opens herself up- no holding back with Tiffany. Although she doesn't like to believe it, she's beautiful and has great talent. Someday, I hope I amount to just half of what she is. She's done so much with her life, and I know she'll go on to do great things. Get your tushy to www.jodeefans.com!

MARCEL- Excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin...OK, much better. 'Aint he sexy and cute?! To me, Marcel Chagnon is more than just Jessica Andrew's boyfriend whom I want to steal...he's a real, country musician with heartfelt and honest lyrics. This boy knows how to write songs, baby!

I figured Marcel deserved a place in my diary cast, since I do talk a lot about him. I know most of that is about wanting to steal him from Jessica Andrews and have him as my own, but I really do love his music. I guess a lot of people still don't know who he is, but he's just...awesome. You can learn more about Marcel by visiting his site, www.marcelmusic.com- or just ask me, because I'm a huge fan! Marcel is great, and I hope more people figure that out.

LAURA- When I first met Laura, I was a shy and quiet little fourteen year old Jo Dee fan. She was about a year and a half older than me, outgoing and super-friendly. In the world of Jo Dee fans, I looked up to Laura. And I still do look up to her, as a fan, friend, and amazing person.

Laura puts a lot of herself on the line- she wears her heart on the sleeve. She does so much for other people, and does a lot to make people happy. Just the little things she does, like making fan club friends gifts for no reason except that she loves them.

If anything, Laura is unique. That's what makes her...her! Nobody else makes quite an introduction like she does.

GRAMPS & GRAN- I don't see my grandparents a lot, which is a crying shame since they're the only two grandparents I have whom are still living. They live in the Retirement Land of Florida, about as far away from Michigan as you can get and still live in North America. They send me a nice card and a little check on my birthday, call once a week or so, and I see them once or twice a year. But other than that, they've really never made much of an effort to be in my life.

My grandma is sort of weird, anyways. She's going rather senile. My grandpa is one cool dude, though. I love them both.

KRISSIE- Knowing Krissie is like knowing nobody else. She's really fun to be around, and she's super outgoing and friendly. She's opinionated, I can tell you that much! And as long as you stay on her good side, she's really sweet.

I first started talking to Krissie sometime in 2001, and I met her at Fan Fair 2001. Ah, the days of chasing Country Weekly photographers around and sleeping on sidewalks! Nope, nothing quite compares to some of the experiences I've had with Krissie (and Stacie and gang!) and some of the pleasant chats we've had. *GRIN*

SAMANTHA- I probably knew Samantha before I got to actually know her. She's Ashley's very best friend, and we've become friends too. She's really nice, and we have tons in common and get along great. Oh, she's also been Jon's girlfriend. Just thought that was vital in describing her, LOL.

JON- Jonathan is a really cool guy, and a great friend. I first met him when I was twelve. We've become closer since then, and we've had some really great times together. He used to call me "Model Citizen" on the bus, and at school, because he said I always acted so perfect. I will never live down being a model citizen to Jon! He also used to come to my house and ask me to play hide-and-go-seek in the dark! LOL

STACIE- Stacie and I have been through a lot in our friendship and Jo Dee fanism. Not everything has been good, but somehow, it all ends up OK when it's said and done. Ah, the sacred conversations about pipe cleaners and funny things happening to Jo Dee. Oh, and the late-night ones we won't really talk about! But, we'll remember them.

Stacie has wisdom and maturity beyond her age. I talk to her and think...there is no way this girl can be over three years younger than me! And her writing is really, really good. She's known as marshmellowb on Diaryland...just, don't confuse that with marshmallowb! Stacie is really sweet, and an awesome Jo Dee fan. Like I said...Jo Dee fans need to dominate Diaryland!

NIKKI- Or, "NIKKI!" as I refer to her. Or, simply known as Nicole to some. No matter what you call her, she's great! I have a ton in common with her. We both believe we were different things in past lives, including sisters. Hence the diary entry about our entire past lives. Seems like we've been around the block a few times! Being a Jo Dee fan opens up friendships for me with people like Nikki. It was really great to get to meet her and spend time with her at Fan Fair 2003. Just to think that there was a time when I didn't know her!

MIRANDA- Chances are, you may hear me complaining about my friend Miranda in my diary. I do it more than I should, really. I used go to school with Miranda, and we were really close then. She is best friends with my friend Sasha, and she...well, she goes to a lot of movies and plays a lot of soccer. "I Kick Balls"...LOL! Yeah, Miranda won't have spray cheese races with me, Sasha and Katy! LOL!

SASHA- Usually associated with Miranda, Sasha is another one of my friends from pre-Grand Ledge. We have stayed in touch fairly well since I moved when I was 12. When she's NOT attached at the hip to Miranda (sorry, LOL) she plays soccer and well...goes to the movies, LOL. Sometimes known as Daisy, (like the Shasta daisy I have in my room that doesn't grow, LOL and Sasha thought it reminded her of her name.) Sasha rocks!
