Well, for some reason, you wanted to know more about ME! I'm Heather, AKA JoDeePrincess. I am the girl behind the screen who spends her hours slaving over JoDeePrincess' Jo Dee Messina Site. So, this page will give you a little bit of insight about who I am, and hopefully the rest of this site will have some other pretty cool stuff. I'm currently seventeen years old and a senior at Grand Ledge High School in Grand Ledge, Michigan...you'll probably end up hearing more about that later. The reason I decided to make this site was because I wanted my website to be something separate from my Jo Dee Messina site. In a way, it's a part of it...but in a way, I can put whatever I want here and not have to worry about whether or not it has to do with Jo Dee! (But chances are, a lot of stuff here probably does have to do with Jo...LOL!) I don't really know why people would want to know more about me, but I suppose that it is a possibility!
I like to have fun with life...I like to be able to make jokes and like stupid stuff like ducks and mooses and not have to worry about what other people think about it. And maybe, someone might share the same feelings as me about stuff like that...so if you do, enjoy my site! NAME: Heather Henderson
NICKNAMES: JoDeePrincess, Princess, Smiley, Duck Feather, Hippo Butt, Midget, Dicky Shmo, Duckie, Moose, Giggles, Smile Machine, Sweetie, and a few others...call me by whatever you like.
AGE: Seventeen
LOCATION: Grand Ledge, Michigan USA - actually, I live in a little place that is essentially a cornfield called Wacousta. It's not a town, though- too small for that. We don't even have a traffic light or gas station, people! It's about 10 miles outside of Lansing.
MODE OF TRANSPORTATION: Driver's license...watch out for me on the road driving a gray 1989 Cutlas Ciera with a duckie staring back at you in the rear window and a "Princess" steering wheel cover and a seashell dangling air freshener bearing down on you!
SCHOOL: I currently attend Grand Ledge High School where I am a senior and will be graduating in May. From there I plan on going to college where I will be majoring in elementary education and minoring in journalism and psychology.
FAMILY: I live with my parents and my fourteen year old brother Kurt. Some of my other close family members are my Aunt Patti (my mom's sister) and my Uncle Bob (my mom's brother) and his son, my cousin Matt and his wife, Jennifer. PETS: My house is kinnda zooey...I have a dalmation named Max (With a million little pet names like cebodles and meisgrey, LOL!) and a Beta Fish named Oscar, or Oshcus as I call him. I used to have some ducks and turtles, a whole bunch of them, but they are currently MIA!
SCHOOL STUFF: I have a GPA acceptable to my standards...and that's all you need to know, LOL. At school I am on Newspaper Staff and write for The Comet's Tale, our school newspaper. I am also a member of the French Club and SADD. Through high school, I have also belonged to: GLHS Freshman Soccer, GLHS Girls Swim, Spanish Club, RAIZE, Drama Club, Scenery Crew, and been in 2 GLHS spring drama productions.

I also love watching old 80's/early 90's show...you can read more about that on some other pages of my site.
FOOD: Basically, American or Italian- I don't like much else. I'm a partial vegetarian...I eat absolutely no red meat. But I like chicken, pasta, potatoes- that kind of stuff. Actually, if I could be any food, I think I would just turn into one big potato.
EMPLOYMENT: Currently, I am a jobless bum mooching off of my parents...LOL. Not really, actually. I have worked all summer every summer since I was fourteen and have also had various other jobs during the school years. My first "job" was when I worked at The Delta Township Library for three summers as a volunteer from age 9-11. I didn't get paid, but I got a lot of experience. Then, I started a steady childcare job between my freshman and sophomore year. I worked at a daycare for awhile sophomore year, and then again did my summer childcare job the summer between sophomore and junior year. I worked for Watertown Township Parks & Rec. department this past summer teaching t-ball, supervising the playground, and day camp. I had some Christmastime temp. employment, and yeah- that's about it! I'm hoping to get another job soon. CHILDHOOD: WELL REMEMBERED Well, now you know a lot about what I'm like now...but aren't you just DYING to know what I was like as a kid?! Sure you are! So, here is some insight and some pictures as to who I was "back in the day"!
INFANCY/AGE 1: I was born November 12th, 1985 at St. Lawerence Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Of course I don't remember it...does anyone remember anything from when they were born. NO! Unless you're that kid from that movie "Powder", I find it highly unlikley. I lived in a small house with my parents in Lansing and spent my days sleeping and drinking formula. Other than that, I don't know a whole lot about those early days.
AGE 2: This is where I start to remember a lot of things. I remember that I used to LOVE wearing anything pink. I had an obsession with costume jewlery necklaces and those stick-on earings. I got my ears pierced around my second birthday, which I believe that I recieved a Strawberry Shortcake doll and my first Cabbage Patch Doll named Ruby. For Christmas that year, I got a mini-vacum cleaner, a Minnie Mouse doll, Play Doh, and some other stuff like those old, weird looking cameras with the gigantic flash. Then, my mom found out she was pregnant for my brother. OH HELL! I liked being an only child...but that was about to change. We moved into a bigger house on the other side of town in the neighborhood where my mom grew up.
My grandmother (my mom's mom) died the day my brother was born in August 1998 when I was two. That was sad. I don't remember a lot about her, just that I used to go over to her apartment and sit on phonebooks because I couldn't reach the kitchen table and she would feed me jellybeans in Dixie Cups. I really disliked the fact that I now had a brother...he was little and smelly and stupid. But, around that time, I met my best friend Katy. We were inseperable from the first time we met.
I remember that was the time when I started watching a lot of TV. My favorite shows were Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Under The Umbrella Tree, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, The Muppets, Muppet Babies, The Smurfs, My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gummie Bears, and Inspector Gadget. I LIVED off of these shows through most of the 80's. I still enjoy many of them to this day, as well! I have a good collection of memorbilia from these shows, some of it original that I got in the 80's/early 90's and reproductions and newly released merchandice and the such.
And so, I had a lot of things that happened to me that year. I got a new house, best friend, and brother all in just one year! I was a really good two year old, except the time that I had the flu and...OK, this is great. Since I was sick, my parents had to use a rectal thermometer to take my temperature. So, my dad was trying to do it while my mom was holding me and she starts screaming, "Dave, you asshole, that's not how you do it!" and I'm crying and I start screaming "Daddy asshole! Daddy asshole!" Man, I was sure smart for a two year old.
Just shy of my third birthday, talks began about me and school. I could already write my full name, knew my address, phone number, and all sorts of stuff that some kids don't even know in kindergarten. My parents began getting me tested, and it was decided that I would begin pre-school in February 1989 when I was three. I turned three in November 1988, and...it was time to start growing up!
AGE 3: I have a fair amount of memories from being three, but none are really detailed. I remember my third birthday slightly, but not a whole lot. I remember that Mikey, Katy, Erica, Nick, and me were the partiers. I got Duplos and some other stuff, but it was all pretty great! I remember that on my birthday, Mikey and I were sitting in the same chair at the table (we did that a lot) and my mom said we were getting too big for that. But we still did it for like 5 more years, LOL. He was my "boyfriend" back then, and I think he planted his first kiss around me at that time.
Christmas that year was enjoyable. My brother's hair all fell out and he looked like a little baby cue ball. My parents dressed him in this God-awful Santa suit outfit, and I refused to wear anything but a McDonalds Kid sweatshirt on Christmas day. But somehow, my mom wrestled me into a dress for our family gathering. In all the pictures from that day, I have this beloved green nightgown on. I began to get into the stage where I actually liked nightgowns and dresses. I was the most girly girl there was, except for when I played with the boys. My two best friends were Mikey and Nick. Nick Wallace lived kiddie-corner from my house and was the same age as me. His sister Erica was 4 years older than me, and sometimes I played with her, too. And of course, there was always my best friend Katy just 10 houses up the road.
Around that time, a girl a few months older than me moved in across the street. Her name was Jenna, and we instantly became friends. Jenna had a thirteen year old sister named Jessica, and we idolized her. We thought she was so cool- she wore makeup, she had cool clothes, boys were crazy about her...and heck, she listened to Paula Abdul, so she HAD to be cool! But of course, with mutiple friends come multiple problems. I think that Katy was sort of jealous of Jenna. I began having to split my time between all my friends. I can't believe that I actually had so many friends back then. LOL.
I began pre-school in February 1989. I attended Happy Elephan Pre-School in Lansing. I liked it, for about the first three days. Then I hated it. I was really really scared of it all of a sudden. None of my friends went there- Katy was still two, and her mom was a pre-school teacher at Sunshine House Pre-School. Nick went to pre-school at our church, St. Gerard, but he didn't start as soon as me. And Jenna, well- I don't really know what she did. Mikey and his family were traveling in Japan a lot back then. His mom and dad used to perform on showboats out in the ocean and at Japaneese clubs. I remember I used to think that Mikey was from Japan until about the end of third grade. I didn't understand that they just used to go there a lot. LOL.
